Ubiquinone and ubiquinol are the two forms of CoQ10. They’re known as a redox pair, meaning they are easily converted back and forth in your cells depending on which form is needed.
Ubiquinone is the more stable and extensively researched form of CoQ10 and is also the form naturally made in your cells.
Although you may have seen claims that ubiquinol is better absorbed, this is not supported by scientific research.
